About thirty associations have gathered today on the campus of the Catholic University of Murcia on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Volunteering UCAM.

The event has allowed the university community know the charities with which the institution collaborates through cooperative work, and has also enabled a direct meeting between representatives of these groups and students to collaborate with them.

During the conference there have been several activities that students have developed the title of Senior Technical Realization of Projects and Shows Higher Institute of Vocational San Antonio, through the module 'Planning Stage Management Shows and Events', who have conducted a performance in which have shown the significance of volunteering.

In addition, students have made a mural in which the university community has been written on the word voluntary, concepts related to this term such as charity, love, support, respect and justice.

Addictions

They have also held during the Day of Charity presentations.

One of them has given the psychologists of ADANER, Begoña Martínez and Maite Spain, who have lectured on the prevention of eating disorders from the point of view of psychology and nutrition.

For its part, the therapist Man Project, Javier Perez, gave the conference 'Addictions in a world in crisis'.

Other acts framed in the event you have starred students and teachers in grades Architecture and Building Engineering, who have reported on the activities being undertaken through the Social Architecture project UCAM.

Volunteering

Last year nearly 500 volunteers developed UCAM relief efforts in any of the 40 institutions with which the University works.

Furthermore, this total volunteer must add the 24 who participated in activities of international cooperation, such as Campus jobs in Peru, developed by the institution for years.
