Environment in 2015 the largest investment in the history of the town in cycling infrastructures (25/11/2014)

Next year a cultural and leisure program will be launched to boost the parks and gardens of the town |

The Department of Environment, who runs Adela Martinez-Cache, next year will have a budget of over 19 million, an amount that increases by 11.43% over the current year.

Undoubtedly, the maintenance and improvement of green spaces of the town will be one of the main lines of action of the council, whose budget is 12.8 million euros.

The Department conducted a total of 20 projects of rehabilitation, improvement and creation of new parkland neighborhoods and districts (Nonduermas, El Palmar, San Ginés, Stables, the Rane, Monteagudo, La Nora, Guadalupe, etc.).

An example of this type of action is to be held in the garden of El Malecon, where grassy areas available including flower beds and removing the protective fences, in the same way as was done in the beds of the Glorieta be improved .

Moreover, the municipality of Murcia currently has a total of 2,385 playgrounds.

Another planned developments for 2015 is to boost the parks and gardens of the municipality of Murcia taking a cultural and leisure program to these spaces.

On Environmental Education, the Department will continue working on the development and consolidation of programs being carried out, such as the Network of School Gardens, Homes Vedes, environmental education in schools, family program in Majal Blanco, etc.

The novelty of next year will be the implementation of the project Vive gardens in your neighborhood.

It is a new initiative with the Department of Environment wants the smaller exit the classroom and enjoy in green surroundings of their residence and their parents, family and friends.

The project will start in the neighborhood of El Carmen and will focus on bringing culture and leisure parks and gardens that specific neighborhood.
