Agents of the National Police have arrested a person under an international arrest warrant for extradition (Oide) issued by authorities in Colombia.
Last September agents Headquarters in Murcia became aware of the presence of an individual from Colombia, 31 years old, who lives in the town of La Alberca, Murcia.
According to several Colombian media information, this person was the author of four crimes, including murder and illegal possession of weapons.
The incident occurred on October 20, 2009 in Manizales, Colombia, where the detainee shot a woman to leave her home.
Apparently the motive for the attack was related to the economic debt he had with the victim.
On these facts was sentenced to thirty-three years in prison by the judicial authorities of the country, having absconded later.
Until now he was missing.
Upon learning of his stay in the Region of Murcia, officers contacted the Colombian authorities, who inserted the corresponding Oide by such facts.
On Tuesday, a device was established around the residence of such person, in La Alberca, adopting all appropriate security measures, and was stopped immediately with the seizure of personal documents.
In the same investigators observed altering their names, presumably to avoid detection and arrest.
The operation was carried out by agents of the Specialist Crime Group of the Judicial Police Provincial Brigade of the National Police Headquarters in the Region of Murcia.
