Environment makes tomorrow a workshop to learn about the history and evolution of the Contraparada (21/11/2014)

The Department of Environment, directed Adela Martinez-Cahcá, has prepared for this weekend a couple of activities to enjoy with family and friends in touch with nature.

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 22, will be held at the new Center of Contraparada the seminar "Nature and history Contraparada" which aims knowledge of the origin and historical development of Contraparada and hydraulic complex and the main existing natural values ​​in the Segura River.

The activity will take place between 10-17 h.

The seminar will include sign language interpreters.

With this integration initiative, for which it has the support of the Hand in Hand Association, the Department of Environment aims to support the efforts of the Associative Movement of the Deaf and expand the profile of the population that can perform outreach activities environmental proposals.

On Sunday, November 23, itinerary of 94 MU PR, Trail of the Ginovinos, 5.7 km long and medium difficulty, will be held at the Hill of Ginovinos, including saws and Columbares Altaona.

This is a walk in the Municipal House of Ginovinos that begins with a gentle ascent to allow spot, if the day is clear, the Campo de Cartagena and Mar Menor and enters the agroforestry landscape so characteristic of areas sierra fields.

The route, which will take place between 10 and 14 hours, has already filled all the available seats for participants.

In addition, like all weekends and holidays, Point Environmental Information Majal Blanco, attend visitors who come to the square of mulberry trees and the environment in Municipal Forest Park from 9.30 am to remain open 14,30 h., and the new Visitor Center Majal Blanco, in the Nature, Sunday from 9.30 to 14 hours.

Program activities and environmental awareness information are aimed at promoting awareness of the average local environment, understanding your values ​​and conservation needs and citizen participation in continuous improvement, in a playful and dynamic context.
