Urban Quality begins today the rehabilitation and improvement of accessibility between the Bridge of hazards and Miguel Caballero Bridge (20/11/2014)

Lieutenant Flomesta Avenue, (specifically the section between the bridge and the Bridge Hazards communicating with the Segura River Avenue and Ricardo Gil), will be completely renovated to improve accessibility and safety pedestrians .

This is one of the busiest stretches of the area because it is the access to the bridge from the Glorieta Dangers of Spain.

The maintenance company has had planning meetings with the Technical Services Department and the Police Traffic Services, and to be cut to one lane traffic during the execution of the work.

During the Christmas holidays, the same order that the condition of citizens is minimal halts.

Currently, the floor slab is not in good condition due to the growth of tree roots, which can lead to falls.

Also, stainless steel railing does not meet current accessibility standards, because it is a scalable item.

Neither these regulations meet the access ramp to the pedestrian crossing, the passage widths nor is there enough time for pedestrians wait for the semaphore space.

It is for this reason that the Department of Urban Quality directing Ana Martínez Vidal, considered priority this performance included within the green itinerary Municipal Accessibility Plan.

The work will be protected by security fences, decorated with canvases silkscreened with images of the city, within the new corporate image of the municipal service SITE will be presented in the coming days.

The reforms carried out under the maintenance contract, and upon completion will certify them and conducted the final measurement of the technical service responsible.
