The Youth Music Group head of Torres in the first section and the Musical Society of Artistic D'Alcà ntera Xuquer (Valencia), of the Third Division, have won the National Competition for bands Ciudad de Murcia, which was held this Weekend Edition XXIV, recording a full house at the Teatro Romea
In the first section have been second and third the Musical Art Society Fontiguerense Lira (Valencia) and Cultural Association Musician Eldense Sta.Cecilia (Alicante), while in the Third Section premiso these have gone to the Municipal Society and Cehegín Musical Union Society Horadada.
In the first section the awards have been 2,100, 1,700 and 1,300 euros for first, second and third prize respectively.
In the third section, the awards have been 1,500, 1,300 and 1,100 euros for first, second and third prize respectively.
In total, involving a total of six bands: three Third (up to 50 musicians, including maximum collaboration of five performers) and the works of First Section (from 71 to 90 musicians, including maximum collaboration of six foreign artists )
The jury, on a proposal from the Federation of Bands in the Region of Murcia, was composed by Juan Jesus Lopez Sandoval (conductor, educator and researcher), Miguel Enrique Tena Peris Medetena (conductor, composer, educator and saxophonist) and Ismael Enguidanos Jaime Royo (conductor).
The fair city of Murcia is one of the most important national level, as evidenced by the high number of requests for participation from various parts of the country.
The Department of Culture and demonstrates its commitment to the Federation of bands and musical groups in the municipality, which subsidizes annually with more than 70,000 euros
