The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has started this week the redevelopment of the College of Education and Elementary John XXIII Murcia neighborhood the Rane.
The project, which was awarded by one million euros, is building four kindergarten classrooms and nine primary and their duration is ten months, so that the work will be completed by the end of the course.
The Director General of Education Centres, Maria Dolores Valcárcel, said that this infrastructure is to respond to the educational needs arising from demographic changes in the area, one that has experienced increased growth.
"This work aims to address the current and future educational needs of a densely populated area in recent years has hosted many young families with children," said Maria Dolores Valcárcel.
The new infrastructure, built on a plot of 11,562 square meters adjacent to the current building will have an area of ​​1,773 square meters, in addition to 13 classrooms, including two outdoor sports courts, library, offices for administration departments, wards multipurpose rooms, toilets and storage areas.
The building, designed as a compact piece of asymmetrical composition, features a two-story volume visually connected with a garden center that will serve students patio for Children.
The project, designed with eco-efficiency criteria to ensure the comfort of the classroom climate and adequate natural light for the normal development of teaching is characterized by joint geometry and rationality in the construction and clean lines.
"We intend to continue working to improve our network of public schools to ensure quality education in the '+ Educational Quality + School Success' strategy," said the Director General of Schools.
