The Socialist Party calls for the local government to establish contact with Chinese agents to spread tourism in Murcia (07/11/2014)

After holding a meeting with the Institute Iberochino days ago, councilors Pedro Lopez and Andrea Garrie local PP raise the possibility of establishing strategies to tour operators in the country to publicize the attractions of the town to China

The Socialist Party spokesman, Pedro Lopez, and Councilwoman Andrea Garrie ask the local government to establish contact with Chinese agents to disseminate, as they are already doing other Spanish cities such as Zaragoza and Granada, tourism in Murcia.

The socialist mayor, held a few days ago that a meeting with the director of the Institute Iberochino Murcia, Eva Maria Rodriguez, believe that the city of Murcia should pay attention to these organizations and consider betting on the Chinese tourism.

"We continue to believe that the tourism sector in Murcia is essential to boost the economy of our town and we consider it necessary, by the Consistory, strategies that help us to define specific tourism products aimed at emerging markets such as the Chinese are established" defend Lopez and Garrie.

Both councilors announced that the next meeting they have with tourism entrepreneurs of Murcia will plantearles these issues, so they weigh the possibilities of this new market and define how to establish concrete strategies to spread tourism in Murcia between professionals and attract new visitors.

Chinese tourist spends 2,000 euros on average when traveling, in the case of Zaragoza, where the city have already adapted to this market through collaboration with Chinese Friendly International organization in September increased by 300% the number of visitors, being China's second-highest number of tourists.

Since the forecasts from the China Forum Chair pointed that in 2020 would come from the Asian country of 100 million people, and in 2013 has already reached 93 million;

so China never ceases to be an extremely attractive market that needs attention, ending the PSOE councilors.
