The Museum of Science and Water welcomes over 35 activities in its Outreach Program (06/11/2014)

The Museum of Science and Water introduced her Outreach Programming for the 2014-2015 year.

This is a varied program covering both child and adult audience, with over 35 activities including seven exhibitions are five conferences and eight workshops.

In addition, special activities for science week, from 7 to 9 November, and the Christmas and Spring is.

On 7 November the tribute to Francisco Gonzalez, one of the biggest events.

The Murcia Entomologist, 91, donated to the Museum of Science and Water a collection of butterflies and other insects over 500 copies.

It is one of the special activities within the week for Science and Technology Museum.

In addition, it adds, on November 8, the family workshop 'Discovering astronomy' and activities in the planetarium ''s turn off the light' and 'A Mouse on the Moon'.

On November 9 access to the museum is free and is payable only entrance to the planetarium.

They also emphasize the roaming program five exhibitions produced by the museum, which this year is exchanged with the National Museum of Science and Technology based in A Coruña.

- 'Nature Photography' which features a selection of photos from Francisco Javier López-Briones, in which we find beautiful images of insect species in the Iberian Peninsula in their natural habitats.

Many of the images have been taken in the swamp Santomera the Chícamo, Abanilla, Fortuna and La Ramblas Azohía Mazarrón and Puerto de la Cadena river.

- 'When the earth trembles: Volcanoes and earthquakes' that aims to show how these phenomena are triggered, scientific disciplines who study and practitioners seeking to implement means to prevent its catastrophic effects.

- Coinciding with the United Nations has recognized 2015 as the International Year of Light, the exhibition "The Dark Side of Light: Light pollution" is intended to recognize the importance of this, and technologies based on it have on the lives of citizens of the world in the development of society and the challenges facing humanity.

- It is also added another temporary exhibition, 'immortal books, essential tools'.

On the other hand, and in its annual program, there are several workshops and conferences aimed at all audiences.

A cycle of Science in Family, distributed from November to April, and in which workshops for families are held, where children (from 5 years) and adults through recreational and educational activities, share will experience and explore the world of science.

And a lecture on Biotechnology, various children and bilingual sessions in the planetarium, a youth workshop 'Introduction to Robotics' and adult workshop on 'Cocinoterapia'.

The Christmas and Spring also not left out as the museum has prepared a package of special activities to enjoy during these dates between which stand for Christmas, the workshop "Recognizing minerals and fossils" or planetary "The Rocky 4" and to the Spring Festival workshop "The Magical World of Butterflies" or planetary "gas giants".
