The Full Council of Murcia has unanimously approved the initiative of Union Progress and Democracy for where to cut water for good cause, the costs of reconnection are applied to the Social Fund Emuasa and deducted from the quotas for the supply of following months.
The motion, put forward by José Antonio Sotomayor, specifies that the reconnection once established, can demonstrate financial need to the Social Services of the City of Murcia, to be the line to assume the social issues that cost.
As Sotomayor explains, "because of this unfortunate economic crisis, with deep structural problems, many families can not afford a few months, the most essential expenses, such as a water bill," so then neither can cope with reclosing costs to water supply.
Currently, the reconnection fee is 89.94 euros plus VAT 18.78, representing an additional cost of 108.22 euros to be paid, besides adding it to the water consumed and could not afford at the time.
The fact that this court can even arise repeatedly over a given year.
