The National Police arrested a person for telematics scam (23/10/2014)

Agents of the National Police have arrested a person for being suspected of a crime of computer fraud, having achieved some 'assets using credit card of another person.

Last August, the District Police San Andrés got a complaint where a young man stated that, after performing at an ATM of a bank in the city of Murcia, left there forgotten your credit card.

After half an hour, the complainant received several messages on his mobile purchases over € 1,000 through a payment gateway computer, made with said credit card.

Tech Crime Group of the Headquarters in Murcia began an investigation, envisioning the video images of ATM security in question.

Also he requested the payment system PayPal fraudulent data on all purchases made with the card and email used for these operations.

Different lines of research have identified without a doubt the perpetrator of the theft of the card and fraudulent online purchases.

Proving to be a man of Spanish nationality, 30 years old, with a history of burglary in things.

Consequently, members of the Tech Crime proceeded to arrest the perpetrator of these acts.

Given the overwhelming presence of evidence, the prisoner in his statement acknowledged his authorship.

The research was conducted by agents of Tech Crime Group belonging to the Judicial Police Provincial Brigade of the Police Headquarters of Murcia.
