The Romea opera season opens with Verdi'Nabucco' (22/10/2014)

The opera fans can enjoy Verdi's Nabucco on Friday 24 at the Teatro Romea.

The success is due in part to the musical qualities of the work and partly to the association that made the audience between Jewish history and nationalist ambitions of the time.

One of the symbols used, and perhaps still using the village to reinforce the ideal of independence was the chorus Va, pensiero.

In his time, the Italians assimilated it as a song against foreign oppression they lived.
