A study of the University of Murcia highlights the importance of education in the entrepreneurial spirit of adolescents (15/10/2014)

The professors of the University of Murcia Antonio Aragon and Samuel Baixauli are the coordinators of a book, presented today at the Rectory of the educational institution in which the student entrepreneurial intention of university and training and how it addresses influenced by the training they receive.

IES 884 students from eleven of the Region of Murcia have been interviewed for this study, stated in his opinion that the lack of attitude and entrepreneurial training in the basic educational levels and media appears as an obstacle to promoting entrepreneurship.

The book detects that A level students have greater intention and willingness to take the High School, which outnumber those in desire to work as servants and NGOs.

Vocational students also feel more in paid employment in the private sector, while they consider that they have better training to create a company.

In Training, the Vocational Training LOE enrolled valued more than those studying Vocational Training GLSES, as a career, building a business.

On the other hand, the results obtained in the study, it can be stated that students with courses related to Economics and Business Economics For those who follow the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and enrolled Enterprise and Initiative Entrepreneurship in Cycles LOE- noted for their higher intention and willingness to undertake, considering more prepared and see starting a business easier.

By gender, the boys valued more than girls creating their own company, plus also have higher entrepreneurial intention and willingness to undertake.

The authors and the rector of the University, José Orihuela, highlighted during the presentation of the importance of entrepreneurship training in education in order to encourage entrepreneurship.
