The Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía acts on Saturday at the Teatro Circo Murcia with the show 'Sing In Memory of 1922', which represent 21.30, inside the tour that began with the release in January, and that to date has overcome the 40,000 spectators.
'In memory of singing: 1922' is inspired by the singing contest that year was held in the Plaza of the cisterns of the Alhambra in Granada, supported by intellectuals and artists of the time-including Lorca and Falla or marked a before and after in the history of flamenco.
Rafaela Carrasco is the artistic director and choreographer of this show, which features the scenery of Gloria Montesinos and White Costume Design and Belmonte.
This show aims to recall, through dance, to great singers in the history of flamenco and extol the work of the great personalities of art and culture that promoted this event, such as Manuel de Falla, Ignacio Zuloaga and a young Federico García Lorca .
With this work, the creative Rafaela Carrasco remembers those days in June 1922 through a personal view and from the perspective of 90 years of what happened there and honoring the artists who gathered there and left their legacy : the solea of ​​"The Pliers" siguiriya of Manuel Torre, toná of ​​"Caracol", rondeña Ramon Montoya, the arrow of "The Girl with the Combs" the Zambra "La Gazpacha" the cantiña "The Macarrona" granaína Chacon, and of course Federico García Lorca and his poems of flamenco singing.
The Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía was created in 1994 under the name of Andalusian Dance Company with the main objective of its conversion into a common place for creators first level, both in dance and music, with an opportunity for career artists flamingos that form part of it.
On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, last September the show premiered Images.
