Its strategic location close to the major international markets such as Tokyo, Shanghai or Hong Kong, which together with its advanced ability to innovate, positions the Taiwanese economy among the world's best.
This has been one of the ideas discussed in charge of Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei as it is known to the Taiwanese embassy in Spain Javier Hou Ching-shan during the lecture that has delivered this morning at the Catholic University of Murcia, and which has shelled attendees economic and social potential of the Asian country.
The ambassador highlighted the advanced technical capability and technological innovation of Taiwan, which places it at the forefront in the application of this knowledge in related areas of engineering or medicine.
"Taiwan moves from an agricultural to industrial arriving in less than 50 years of high technology," he highlighted.
During his visit Javier Hou Ching-shan held a meeting with the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, who has told the education project on the UCAM sits in the field of research, educational excellence, evangelism, volunteer and sport;
and also shows the expansion that is taking place at the University.
In this regard, Taiwan's ambassador in Spain has highlighted the important work being undertaken by the University in the training of young people.
