The Fair and Bulls cycle premieres this edition showcases contest, a route from the top and pre-show snacks bull (27/08/2014)

The Fair and Cycle Bulls back another year to occupy an important place in the programming of the September Fair.

This year, through typical bullfighting snacks, joins the contest I Storefronts Taurinos City of Murcia, with the participation of about 40 stores to win prizes of 1,000, 600 and 400 euros, and I Top Road Taurine in which about 60 bars offer tapas inspired by the bullfighting industry.

Also new this year is the pre-show snacks bullfighting, which will take place on 8 and 9 September, at 13 hours, and in which intervene the harbinger of the Fair this year, Juan Belmonte, Curro and the Rabbits

Special mention deserves also the exhibition "A Century of Running of the Press", in collaboration with the Association of Journalists of the Region of Murcia, gathers 28 works by 23 artists who have portrayed bullfighting in recent decades.

The program cycle begin on September 2, at 20 am with the opening of the exhibition and will run until the 16th, although the Ruta de la Tapa and Window Dressing Competition will be held until September 21.

During these days the bull snacks that will take place in the Club Taurino and most notably on the 10th of September at the 2014 awards will be handed Ambitions will succeed.

These awards fall into this edition in the Castles of the Burial of the Sardine, the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth, in the College of Journalism, in Ricardo Robles and the Foundation Cante de las Minas

As for the exhibition "A Century of Running of the Press', will be open from 2 to 28 September at the Exhibition Hall of the Palace Almudí.

The exhibition offers a total of 25 paintings and three bronzes, plus posters of the last 12 bullfights.

Alongside these pieces tailored Pepin Liria lights and other exposed parts bullfighting.

Among the authors participating in this show are Buendía Martínez, Coronado, Pedro Serna, Torregar, Pedro Cano, Vicente Ruiz, José Antonio Aguado, Hurtado Mena, José Lucas, Molina Sanchez, Hernansaez, Gaya, Barberán Muñoz, Nicolás de Maya, Paco Bernal, Miguel Vivo, Pina Norths, Aurelio, Luis Manuel Pastor and Ballester.

The celebration of the centenary of the Running Press shows the vitality that continues to experience this event each year as an indispensable part of our most ancient and cherished holidays.

In 1914 the first run to benefit the Press Association was held with eight bulls Veragua to Cocherito Bilbao, Paco Madrid, Francisco Posada and Juan Belmonte, with reduced prices "so you can go around the world, from the rich man bourgeois to the humblest plebeian of society. "
