Five intense days of Lemon Pop (06/08/2014)

A new feature incorporates a children's concert to be held on 13 September at Teatro Circo Murcia |

Murcia becomes one more year in the capital of pop during days 4, 5, 6, 11 and 13 September with the holding of the XIX edition of the Lemon Pop This festival, organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Murcia, is of the oldest Spanish pop.

The Lemon Pop turns 19 while maintaining the essence of Indie festival with the participation of groups as central Murcia.

It has become a reference in the Spanish independent music culture.

Councillor of Culture, Rafael Gomez and festival director Angel Sopena, presented the news.

In this edition the participating groups are The Pains of Being Pure at Heart (USA), Helen Love (GB), French Films (Fin), The Spook School (GB), Holidays, Nunatak, Lidia Damunt, Murciano Total, Joe Twilight The New Accelerator, The Purple Elephants, Vetusta Morla, Francisca Valenzuela (Chilean rock Princess) and Goodbye Nicole.

That will stage the Fofó Park, Artillery Barracks, Teatro Circo Murcia and various venues around town.

As a novelty, an activity for children, 'Lemoncico Pop' starring Candela and the Supremes, the 13th of September at Teatro Circo Murcia, 19:00 is incorporated.

This festival was to give visibility to Murcia groups and has served as a springboard to bands like Second Vacations, Klaus & Kinski, Parade, Dog or Clara Plath among others.

Furthermore, in its 19-year history have acted legendary groups as Nacha Pop, Surfin 'Bugs, The Enemy, The Only Ones and The Blue House.

The Lemon Pop has been broadcast on Radio 3 and Onda Regional Murcia.

In the field of music has transcended names Koldo Serra and Domingo González, creator of the viral marketing campaign 'I Love Laura' and director of the usual clips of the Blue House.
