The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, participates as a speaker at the first Sustainability Course Cities: Models for Better Management and Planning, organized by the Initiative for Emerging and Sustainable Cities (ICES) and the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) with the support of the Municipality of Santander.
Chamber participates with a group of experts in urban and sustainability issues, together with private companies, other Spanish and Latin American mayors who will share the experiences of their cities in this area.
The course, which starts today, runs until Friday.
The paper by Miguel Angel House is part of the panel to discuss the fiscal management of municipalities in Spain and its evolution in recent years.
The full program will address different aspects of local sustainability, with papers that treat the city as the epicenter of economic development, urbanization phenomenon globally, the development of intelligent applications to improve overall management of cities, mobility as an element joint planning or urban, sustainable, integrated design.
