Start the IV Cante de las Minas UCAM-University Congress Flamenco Dance (21/07/2014)

The San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia has started this afternoon at the fourth edition of Cante Flamenco UCAM-University Congress Mine Dance in the UCAM Sports Center.

The conference, organized jointly by the Catholic Foundation and Cante de las Minas meet until July 25, to specialists singing and dancing to disclose their knowledge practically in these disciplines.

In the opening act intervened Dean of the Faculty of CAFD, Antonio Sanchez Pato;

Deputy Mayor of Culture of the Municipality of La Union, and director of the Festival del Cante de las Minas, Julio Garcia, and the dancer and choreographer Marcos Flores.

Participants in the symposium highlights the presence of Marcos Flores, National Flamenco Award, who will give workshops on dance and choreography Taranto.

The dean of the Faculty of CAFD, Antonio Sanchez Pato, explained that "for this symposium is a UCAM over joint actions that the University develops the Foundation Cante de las Minas, which this time have joined forces to promote culture and art. "

On the other hand, Julio Garcia, has detailed "UCAM is a great traveling companion in the many and varied activities of the Foundation Cante de las Minas. For us it is an honor to be here today."

In addition, the dancer Marcos Flores stressed that "for me it is very important that they have me for a teaching activity with students from the UCAM, because in some way, I will also convey my vision when it comes to work and choreograph."

It has also stressed the "great importance of this event, which is a great example to follow, and that is of great interest for culture and flamenco."

During the event, multiple activities will take place, including choreographic dance techniques and workshops;

conferences, as well as complementary activities, such as visiting the Cathedral del Cante (Old Public Market) and the Mining Museum, Cante de las Minas and Minera Easter the town of La Union.
