Platform Citizens for Public Transportation this morning held a meeting with the Minister of Development, Public Works and Transport of the Autonomous Community, Manuel Campos.
In the same Platform representatives have taken the deep discomfort of the residents of Murcia for the operation of public transport and have requested the urgent need to restore the lines of districts abolished two years ago as well as improve the frequency step current services.
Similarly, the platform has defended before the Minister of Public Works the need for a single price across the public transport system in the town, thereby ending the discrimination of neighboring villages, which now pay 1.85 euros per versus single ticket costs 1.05 euros to the bill on the lines of the city.
In addition, Platform members have also called for better coordination between the Ministry of Public Works and the City of Murcia so that all possible resources are optimized and that public service is improved.
Finally, remember that the Platform Citizens for Public Transport has also requested a meeting with the council of Traffic and Transportation, Javier Iniesta, which is still awaiting a reply.
Platform Citizens for Public Transportation consists of neighborhood organizations, consumers and users, trade and policies that have joined forces to work for a public and social, safe and sustainable for the municipality of Murcia transport.
