Councilman IU-Greens in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, has returned today to denounce the state of contamination of the neighborhood of Santa Eulalia, namely Mariano Vergara Street, which "takes more than a week without cleaning."
The mayor, who echoed the lack of cleanliness of this road a week ago, has insisted that it is still not cleaned while residents and businesses in the area suffer from dirt.
Tornel has said that a neighborhood like Santa Eulalia, which should be a model and focus for tourists, visitors and citizens of Murcia, "meets a number of conditions of scarcity cleaning is not acceptable."
He also recalled the concessionaire of the street cleaning service receives municipal coffers over 51 million euros per year.
Finally, he has returned to demand the mayor, Miguel Angel House, to take urgent action since it is not the first time that IU-Greens denounced a situation like this and "we have not seen any reaction to it."
