World music fill the streets of the city (27/06/2014)

The activities organized by the Department of Culture for this summer are the most comprehensive in recent years.

In addition to the International Guitar Festival, the musical cycle in places and cinema houses, Murcia can enjoy many activities included in the 47 Festival of Folklore in MEDITERRANO, taking place from 14 to 18 July in streets and spaces emblematic of our city.

Exhibitions, workshops, concerts, parades, folklore groups and a seminar on folklore and ethnography sessions accompany the festival, which will take place in the Plaza Belluga.

Monday, July 14

City Museum.

Exhibition: Flags Festival.

1974-1983 period.

Until 29 August.

-11 H.

Museum Ramon Gaya.

Course for children's garden in painting and writing Ramon Gaya.

-12 H.

Museum Ramon Gaya.

Opening of the exhibition Huertanos in the work of Ramón Gaya.

-19 H.

Río_Caballerizas Mills Area.

Exhibition opening in Murcia traditional food and cultural heritage.

Opening of the exhibition Lighthouses Paper Esteban Bernal.

Concert of traditional music by Traditional Fusion.

Different styles of music following the Murcia region are interpreted as collective ritual chants, aguilandos, nanas, Malaga, jacks, seguidillas and carousing, from different parts of the Region: Espuña Campo de Cartagena, the Northwest The garden of Murcia, the Eastern Region, the Altiplano and Guadalentin.

At the end of the parade, at 20.30 h., Plaza Romea, act Lighting the Torch of Friendship and hoisting of flags.
