The House of the Corporation has given the green light this morning to a motion filed by the four local groups with which to promote the use of bicycles as transportation.
The resolution adopted unanimously lead to the creation of the Urban Observatory of the bicycle, an advisory body to the City of Murcia which will promote the use of the bicycle with the greatest possible safety.
The Urban Observatory Bike will be responsible for advising on the design of the strategy to promote cycling as part of a policy to increase their participation in the modal split.
This advisory body will be composed of representatives of the four political groups of the Municipal Corporation, municipal officers, representatives of the Office of the bike, representatives of associations of bicycle users, citizens' associations in defense of sustainable mobility and companies who regularly collaborate with the city of Murcia in promoting and promoting bicycle use.
