Workers and parents affected by the abolition of the Initial Vocational Training Program are concentrated in the Ministry of Education (20/06/2014)

About fifty people, including workers and parents have focused this morning at the gates of the Ministry of Education to demand not disappear Initial Vocational Training Program (PCPI), which would render training to many young people at risk of social exclusion, and which is scheduled to sunset next September with the entry into force of LOMCE.

This was the first merger there convened over the next Friday the months of June and July.

Murcia City Council has been developing the Initial Professional Qualification Programmes, aimed at students between 15 and 20 years old and in total 203 groups have been created in different programs, with 2,817 students and more than 300 companies in the municipality 19 years working actively in the programs.

These Initial Vocational Training programs each year receive the application form for 160 students, so deleting them would mean the loss of training to a large number of unskilled young people, in addition to the loss of jobs, specifically 16 positions (seven teachers basic training workshops and 9 teachers).
