After carefully reviewing the state of the piece, which has been coordinated by the author's own son, the painter and sculptor Carlos Pardo, has undertaken a complete renovation.

This morning was opened by the Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gomez.

The work forms has been reinforced throughout its structure and, after giving a new patina, resumed a prominent place in the garden.

In addition, to prevent moisture damage it again, as it had been found-has been set in a new higher base than the last.

Moreover, this initiative has also allowed to place a nameplate aluminum, which hitherto lacked the work.

An indispensable author

The sculptor Pedro Pardo (1944 - 1998) studied sculpture at the School of Arts and Crafts of Murcia under the direction of Juan Gonzalez Moreno and worked in the studio of Carlos Gómez Cano.

Imperative to understand the transition to abstraction in Murcia panorama 70s, Sculptor developed much of his work in the studio on Montijo, above the bar La Viña, usual meeting point for artists of that time as Elisa Seiquer , Parraga Caubios, Cacho, Heron, among others.

Pedro Pardo made many exhibitions, both individual and collective.

In 1984 he participated in Contraparada in its 5th edition 'Murcia in 3D'.

He also participated in the presentation by the region "Art in Murcia".

In 1990 was the victim of a disease that was a hemiplegia of the right side of the body, having to leave the office of sculptor and move his left hand learned everything right.

His strength of will led him to continue drawing steadily until his death eight years later.

In 1991, some of his works was exhibited in a group show at Gallery Zero, along with Antonio Ballester, Belzunce, Caubios, Lola Arcas, Marcos González and Párraga.

And a year later, the organization of the flag of Murcia in the Universal Exposition in Seville brought his singular artistic production stage.

In March 1998, his last solo show "Form and color 'in the gallery behind the Roll Death came to him in November of that year due to a heart was exposed.
