The Department of Environment, directed Adela Martinez-Cache, has launched a new information campaign to inform citizens of the new ordinance to protect the environment from the emission of noise and vibration, originally approved by the City de Murcia, besides the problems generated by the urban noise.

Murcia will become aware of the problems of noise and meet the new ordinance in Santo Domingo, as the Department of Environment has installed an information booth in Santo Domingo to be 10 to 25 June, under the slogan "Volume does matter ".

The stand will be dedicated to raising awareness among the problems generated Murcia urban noise and extend awareness of this important for living matter.

Among other things, the house will be informed of the new Ordinance environmental protection against the emission of noise and vibration originally approved by the City.

The opening of the information booth will be from 10:30 to 14 and from 17 to 20:30 pm and are scheduled several activities in which young and old are invited to participate:

- How much noise do-: An awareness activity devoted to making sound level measurements of the noise around us.

Tuesday, 10 to 18 h.

- Workshop: Recycled Instruments: A different way of understanding the sound through the manufacture of musical instruments with recycled material.

Wednesday 11 at 18 h.

- Music "silent" noise abatement: Session Wireless DJ: A novel and fun activity in which a DJ will perform a wireless session at which attendees can enjoy dancing and listening to music only through headphones.

Thursday, 12 to 19 h.

- Soundscape: An activity for young and old in which participatory perform a large mural on noise with drawings and collages.

Friday 13 to 18 h.

In addition to activities during the week citizens who come to the booth may participate in the "Guess the Sound" competition.

Also, on Wednesday and Thursday morning reporters the council will visit the Barrio de Santa Eulalia to distribute a promotional material that summarizes the main measures of the new Ordinance noise protection and invites citizens to cooperate.

The information booth is part of the Program for Environmental Information and Sensitisation of the Department of Environment.
