The Full Council of Murcia, on a proposal from the SIME, UGT and CCOO, has asked the Autonomous Region in future courses continue the Initial Vocational Training Program, thanks to a motion supported by the four political groups of the City of Murcia.
Thus, the SIME, UGT and CCOO in the city of Murcia, unions demand that this program does not disappear, that would leave many untrained young people at risk of social exclusion, which is scheduled to sunset next September with the entry into force of LOMCE.
Murcia City Council has been developing the Initial Professional Qualification Programmes, aimed at students between 15 and 20 years old and in total 203 groups have been created in different programs, with 2,817 students and more than 300 companies in the municipality 19 years working actively in the programs.
These Initial Vocational Training programs each year receive the application form for 160 students, so deleting them would mean the loss of training to a large number of unskilled young people, in addition to the loss of jobs, specifically 16 positions (seven teachers basic training workshops and 9 teachers).
