After the fourth Tourist Information point of the city, located in the district of Carmen (02/06/2014)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Murcia has opened its new Tourist Information Point located in the garden of Floridablanca, in the district of Carmen.

This new office is in addition to the three existing ones, the Tourist Office square Belluga, the Tourist Information Point Street Santa Clara office and Juan Carlos I (flag Prince of Asturias).

The office will be staffed by a person who will provide information in Castilian and English, from Monday to Friday from 16.30 to 20.30, Saturday from 10 to 14 and from 16.30 to 20.30, and Sundays and holidays from 10 to 14 hours.

City maps and detailed information on the cultural, monumental and tourist attractions of the town in Spanish and English will be provided.

The new Point of Information is shared with the Local Trade Association Barrio del Carmen, using this space to publicize their activities.

In addition, Councillor for Tourism, Miguel Cascales, presented two tourist brochures Carmen district to be distributed in the Points of Information and Tourism Office.

One is dedicated to the history of the neighborhood and major monuments such as the Bridge of hazards, the Church of El Carmen Museum, The Blood, Railway Museum, Museum of Mills River, Museum of Science and Water and Barracks Artillery;

and other shopping area is displayed with local and traditional food market.

El Carmen is the first district of Murcia which has brochures about their own rich heritage.

The Information Point is decorated with flat vinyl with the colors of Murcia Tourism logo, red, green, yellow and purple, and with pictures of the main sights of the city made by Joaquin Zamora.

It has placed a large sign on the outside to make it easily visible.

Cascales was accompanied by the President of the Municipal Board of El Carmen, Saura Michelangelo;

and the President of the Local Trade Association Barrio del Carmen, José Oñate.

Visitors to receive Murcia tourist information in different parts of the city, the north (Juan Carlos I), the south (El Carmen), the historical center (Belluga) and (Santa Clara, back Teatro Romea) mall .

The opening of this new space is part of Murcia Revitalization Plan 365, to enhance the visitor's attention and attract tourists all year round.
