Professor of the Faculty of Communication and Information at the University of Murcia Grandío María del Mar is part of the group of experts who presented this week at the Spanish UNESCO report on media education.
The report, which also helped researchers from the universities of Valladolid and Zaragoza, Spain claims the consolidation of a multidimensional education in which the very necessary skills of the new digital landscape is included.
It emphasizes the importance of research on media education in the country has acquired in recent years.
In this project, an initiative of the European network COST (Transforming Audiences / Transforming Societies), 29 countries have participated, they have released their reports on the First European Forum on Media Education.
These focus on the need to improve external information literacy assessments of European as well as specific action plans for the creation of multiple media literacy of citizens.
