The City continues to show your support to the Committee in Support of Sex Workers (CATS), a non-profit organization that defends the rights of these people and you will receive a municipal subsidy of 50,000 euros.
This association, which provides free services to sex workers working in streets and roads, clubs, homes and autonomously pursues different objectives:
- Strive for the recognition of the rights of those engaged in sex work.
- Addressing the health and social demands.
- Fighting stigma.
- Create employment for those wishing to change jobs, improving the conditions of those who wish to remain alternatives.
- Fight the exploitation and forced prostitution.
- Create a space for reflection on prostitution in which the voice of the characters is heard.
- To spread the reality of sex work in different social environments: university, media, trade associations or neighborhood associations.
The City has been working since 2005 with this association, which provides a subsidy of 50,000 euros to support their social activities
CATS comes weekly to places of prostitution both in street and club to inform, support and publicize the services of the association and provides telephone service.
Awareness also takes work.
Prominent among them the prevention of sexually transmitted infections aimed at customers and potential customers.
