Professor of Mathematics José Orihuela Calatayud will tomorrow, Tuesday, the 20th, over as rector of the University of Murcia, for which he was recently elected, during a ceremony to be held at the Faculty of Economics and Business ( Espinardo campus), from 12:00.

After the oath or affirmation of office and the signature of the inaugural Orihuela both as members of his administration, which will intervene so far has been rector, José Antonio Cobacho, who has been leading this institution in the past eight years.

After the intervention Cobacho, Professor Orihuela deliver his first speech as president, to close the ceremony the President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Alberto Garre.

The vice chancellors to take possession are José Antonio Gómez (Communication and Culture), Bernardo Cascales (Coordination and Internationalization), Miguel Ángel Pérez (Estudiantes, Quality and Equality), Pedro Miralles (Training and Innovation), José María Abellan (Infrastructure and Sustainability) , Juan Antonio García (Research), José Manuel Mira (Planning Degree), José Ángel López (Teacher) Thomas and Francisca (Transfer and Entrepreneurship).

Government team also will be part Santiago Alvarez (General Secretary), María del Carmen López (Deputy Secretary General);

Francisco José Pérez (Manager) and Presentation Escudero (Vicegerent).

During the ceremony several times intervene in the University Orchestra and University Choir.
