Users Telecare this afternoon picnicking with their "guardian angels" (14/05/2014)

"Afternoon Tea with us" is the name given since the 2014 meeting held annually telecare users and monitors, a meeting in which people who enjoy Telecare Service professionals and provider of the service-Televida Tunstall , his "guardian angels" can exchange views and be yourself, because your relationship is most of the time by telephone.

This afternoon has participated in the act the Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, who congratulated professionals by their work and encouraged the elderly to continue to rely on this service which gives them security and companionship.

The Telecare service allows people living alone have an assurance that crisis situations can contact via telephone and communication equipment and specific computer, with a center that is staffed by specialists.

Telecare is provided every day of the year and 24 is a device aimed at improving the quality of life for over 65 years, sick or disabled people living alone or living with others in a similar situation.

Murcia City Council has provided the Telecare Service Ambulatory since 1999 to promote, protect and enhance the quality of life of our seniors living in their usual environment.

Currently the service caters to a number of 2,363 members of the municipality of Murcia.

Users have at home a special telephone equipment, which allows the elderly and / or disabled, make an emergency call and to have an adequate response to any need or emergency situation that is triggered by mobilizing the resources needed to resolve it.

This service allows older people living at home with the fear of loneliness, falls or other incidents are permanently addressed through a simple communication system immediately with Care Center staffed by skilled technicians to meet the emergencies 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

This resource is complemented by two mobile units and a vehicle for prompt attention, staffed by dedicated exclusively to the permanent attention of the users of the project staff.

The telecare service in addition to grow in users, has increased and improved its performance.

The latest addition to the two vehicles and cater to visiting users in their homes, is a revolutionary breakthrough technology launched by the city of Murcia in November 2005: the installation of video conferencing, so that beneficiaries you can see the caller-operator who attends-rings, so that the provision becomes closer.
