The Department of Environment, directed Adela Martinez-Cache, carried out along this week installing the BOA system for the "stitching" of branches of large size in individual trees in the municipality of Murcia, specifically in the Ficus Santo Domingo.
With this new system ensures that if windmilling main branches remain anchored to each other, and do not move causing breakage.
Also, in cases of broken branches of large size, regardless of why they occur, each branch being sewn to the other, they would not reach to touch the ground, which makes removing the possibility that it may cause danger to the public.
The installation of the BOA system, which has been conducted in the Ficus of Santo Domingo along this week, is a craft in which two experts in arboriculture and manual climb, climb the tree, using a system of ropes and manually install the system in those main branches of greater weight.
