Murcia approaches to Europe (09/05/2014)

The European Programmes Service of the City of Murcia and the Directorate General for Citizen Participation, European Union and Foreign Affairs of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia organized, once again, a series of activities to commemorate today, May 9, the Europe Day, whose main objective is to bring and spread awareness among EU citizens.

The Plaza de Santo Domingo de Murcia has been the location for installing an information booth, which is also conducting a series of activities that give citizens know the policies and institutions of the European Union.

Younger will be able to play the game "Star Star in" kind of a big game of the goose, and a series of workshops through which they can learn the geography and culture of the countries that are part of the European Union.

This year also will feature the collaboration of students of IES Engineer Cierva website of Murcia Association of Teachers of Latin and Greek (AMUPROLAG), who have prepared activities that revolve around Greece, which holds the presidency of the EU during the first half of 2014.

The workshops will be carried out throughout all day are:

- Painting.

Throughout the morning, from 10:30 to 13:30, students will contribute to the realization of a large map of Europe cutting, coloring and pasting different reasons related to European countries.

Aimed at primary school children.

Maximum capacity: 15-20 people.

- Calligraphy Greek, from 10:30 to 11:30 pm in a large cardboard attendees can draw your name or any word using characters from the Greek alphabet.

Approximately 15 students, both primary and secondary schools can participate.

- Brand Classic pages, from 11:30 to 12:30 hours.

- Mosaics, from 12:30 to 13:30 prior to the event with the students of IES Engineer Cierva prepared with clay tiles of different colors, then participants can stick a cork on A4 size, making mosaics with different designs .

- Greek Dances (all morning).

Students of the institute made some simple steps of Greek dances and invite attendees to learn, resulting in a final choreography.

- Creation of sheets (17 to 20 hours).

Workshop attendees will trim the flag of the country they like, and she set up a sheet that can then be worn.

Aimed at the general public.

- Creating Bracelets (17 to 20 hours): based on the colors of the flags of the different member states attendees can make gummy bracelets that are now in vogue.

The big game of the goose will be available to play on it throughout the day.

The workshops will feature monitors and collaboration of teachers and students of IES Engineer Cierva Murciana website of Association of Teachers of Latin and Greek (AMUPROLAG).
