Doctor of the University of Murcia wins international award for the best thesis in animal health (08/05/2014)

The doctoral thesis by Asta Tvarijonaviciute at the University of Murcia has been awarded one of the international awards called by the Agrifood Campus of International Excellence ceiA3.

The work of this researcher "metabolic and inflammation in canine and feline obesity and associated diseases Biomarkers" won in the category of best doctoral thesis in Production, Animal Health and Medicine.

In the other categories, endowed with 3,000 euros each, have won thesis research universities of Almería (Quality and Food Safety), Córdoba (Production and Plant Protection) and Seville (Food Technology).

This first application of the awards ceiA3 have attended nearly fifty works from 22 universities.

The Campus of Excellence ceiA3 is a union of Andalusian universities (Almería, Cádiz, Huelva and Jaen) led by the University of Córdoba.
