417 students compete today in the second phase of the Local Competition XXV Driver Education and Accident Prevention (08/05/2014)

417 3rd year students of Secondary Education this morning competing in the second phase of the Local Competition XXV Driver Education and Accident Prevention.

The school is part of 139 teams, each consisting of three students, 55 schools.

This competition is organized by the Department of Education, Department of Safety and Human Resources, and Local Police.

The goal is to motivate students in learning and compliance with traffic rules and reward individual effort and teamwork.

Participating students will answer a questionnaire with thirty questions on driver education and movement, in a time of 45 minutes, in order to move to the third phase.

The questions of each student are added to those of his teammates.

The third phase will teams get at least 80 points.

The winners of the final will receive:

-1st prize.

3 mopeds and trophy for the center

-2nd prize.

3 bikes and a trophy for the center

-3 º prize.

3 Wi and a trophy for the center

-4 º prize.

3 photographic equipment

-5 º prize.

The first stage of the competition has been held in schools during the months of March and April.

Each center has come out a team of three students.

55 centers and 38 -17 IES Regulated Secondary Schools-with the participation of 4,509 students were enrolled.

As explained by the Councillor for Education, Maria Dolores Sánchez, "Road safety education is the best tool for the prevention of accidents, road acquire values ​​and encourage young people a safe, healthy and sustainable mobility, promoting habits that promote public awareness ".
