Theatre groups centers over Azarbe Shore, Bacons Bridge and St. Pius X yesterday staged the first day of the XI Theatre Festival, organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Health.
The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, accompanied by Councilwoman Maria del Carmen Pelegrin, yesterday presented a commemorative plaque to participants upon completion their performances at the Teatro Romea.
This afternoon shifts becoming the representatives of the major centers of Santiago and Zaraíche, Stables and La Alberca, whose performance Pelegrín witness, along with numerous members of the network of local centers.
This involved attending XI shows theater courses 15 centers in which these groups operate.
For years the theater courses have become one of the activities supported by the Social Centres for the Elderly that request, along with other courses that promote active aging, healthy leisure, culture, social participation, etc. .. This is an activity that provides interesting benefits as it requires a great effort by the elderly, by the constancy in rehearsals, memorization, costumes, etc..
