The Board of Governors approved accepting the donation offered by Florence Castán Rodríguez, widow of sculptor Rafael Pi Belda, sketch of their corresponding to the completion of the monumental sculpture of Count Floridablanca, located in the eponymous institute in May Murcia property 1992.
The piece is a bronze 36 x14x6 inches which was conducted in 1991 and is valued at 6,000 euros
The work will be placed permanently in the Museum of the City, indicating author, material and grant date, according to the wish of the widow of the sculptor.
The Pi Belda Valencian sculptor died in 2012 at age 83 candidate for the Prince of Asturias Award in 1983.
Among his best known works include The illuminated, Blind, St. Jerome and Pastor,
His work is represented in the Provincial Museum of Cuenca, Caja de Ahorros de Sevilla, City of Mojacar War Lorca Theater, High School Floridablanca Murcia and Valencia Provincial Council.
