Terra Natura Murcia welcomes the birth of another exemplary lady oryx antelope (30/04/2014)

The animal park and Terra Natura Murcia nature has welcomed a new birth of lady oryx oryx (Oryx Dammah), which in the past births that occurred this spring adds.

In total, 15 specimens that inhabit the park is almost extinct.

This is the thirteenth birth that occurs in the park since its opening, a figure of great importance as it is a species that is almost extinct in finding freedom only small groups of individuals in Chad and Niger.

The birth of this new issue took place ten days ago after a gestation period of eight months.

Farming remains right now in the care of the mother and isolated from the rest of the pack.

In a few weeks they will join the rest of oryx lady in Savannah to be observed by visitors.

The lady oryx antelopes are about 300 kilos of weight, are distinguished by their brown-cream fur and long horns, they already have at birth.

They are herbivores and herd behavior, they divided into groups with several females and a male player.
