El Pozo Murcia FS and the Faculty of Sport Sciences, University of Murcia (UMU) have been selected to lead in Spain a research project to improve the titles of Sport Sciences in Europe, in the call for projects "Lifelong Learning Programme "of the European Commission.
The project is directed by Professor UMU Alfonso Valero, in collaboration with other teachers at the school and the Faculty of Education, having a duration of two years.
The same, entitled 'The Employability of Graduates in Sport across the European Union', is oriented to the study of variables affecting the employability of students in these securities, to identify labor market demands in the professional sector Sport in the different EU countries, describe the professional skills that increase employability and academic needs analysis convergence in this sense.
As a partner, employer and expertise, is also part of this project Pozo Murcia FS under the coordination of the Director General and Sports, Francisco Sánchez Serrejón.
Among other higher education institutions and experts involved in the project are the University of Gloucestershire (UK), University of Göttingen (Germany), University of Strasbourg (France), University of Thessaly (Greece), University of Olomouc v Palackeho ( Czech Republic) and Cheltenham Borough Council (UK), consolidating the University of Murcia as a principal member of the European Network of Sports Science Studies (EN3S).?
With this opening to Europe as well, the Faculty of Sport Sciences, University of Murcia currently offers the best program of internationalization for Sports Science students of our country as it opens its students the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus program with more than 70 seats in 33 universities in Germany, UK, France, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Estonia, Portugal, Turkey, Romania and Greece.?
