The Socialist Group PP required to publicly renounce the reform of the pension system imposed by Rajoy (14/04/2014)

The mayor José Zapata defend this initiative because the loss of purchasing power of pensions is causing a progressive impoverishment of pensioners and an unacceptable loss of quality of life after many years of work and sacrifice

The Socialist councilor José Zapata defend in Parliament this month a motion asking the Government House to reject and make a public renunciation of the reform of the pension system imposed by Rajoy because it is absolutely unfair and, as always, will seriously damage weaker in this case, pensioners, they will experience a progressive depletions people.

This initiative is part of the actions that are taking the PSOE nationally against "harmful measures" that carries the reform of the pension system to ensure that they will not, in any case, to maintain the purchasing power of pensioners with losses between 14 and 26% over the next 15 years.

This loss of purchasing power Zapata warns entails a serious weakening of those who already have a low pension.

Remember that 54% of pensions have an amount less than the minimum wage, plus a serious limitation of the quality of life for the majority of households with a pensioner, about 27% of the total, the principal or sole source of income.

As this occurs the PSOE mayor aims-the price of drugs has risen 20.9% since 2011 as consecunecia exclusion of a significant number of drugs in public funding;

urban public transport also suffered an increase of 14.6%;

and energy gained during the two years of 11.4% as a result of successive electric rate hikes.

Also, the Socialist councilor criticizes the ways in which the central government has unilaterally suppressed formula that so far had been applied to revalue public pensions.

"No dialogue with the other political parties, business and labor organizations and breaking all the provisions of the Pact of Toledo."

"We must put an end to these unfair austerity policies as a means for ending the crisis democratically and economically sustainable and socially," defending Zapata, who on behalf of the Socialist Group in plenary required next week immediate rectification, which dialogue and agreement of the Toledo Pact recovers, as the measures imposed by Rajoy just crushing the weak.
