Salzillo works are displayed in a photo exhibition at the Episcopal Palace (11/04/2014)

The Episcopal Palace houses since yesterday the exhibition "Nicolas and Francisco Salzillo: gouge God" with photographs of Da Ana Bernal and under the sponsorship of the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia.

In the afternoon of this exhibition was inaugurated yesterday in the presence of the Bishop of Cartagena, Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes;

UCAM president, José Luis Mendoza;

and the photographer herself.

The Episcopal Vicar for Evangelisation and Religious Affairs Vice Chancellor of the UCAM, José Alberto Sánchez Cánovas, said the exhibition is divided into four parts, according to the Gospel story, so that the visitor can admire, at first, photographs of the works of Nicolas and Francisco Salzillo that have to do with Jesus' childhood through pictures as "The Virgin of the Milk", that is exposed in the Cathedral Museum.

The second part of the exhibition is devoted to the Lord's Passover, it mostly pictures of the sculptures Francisco Salzillo performed to the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno de Murcia (that procession in the morning of Good Friday and is popularly known is as the procession of Salzillos).

"The Eucharist: Easter walker" is the third section presents the Eucharist as the permanent passage of the Lord and where you can find the Eucharistic Expositor convent of the Clares of Murcia or the image of "Soul sleep".

In the latter part of the sample's Witnesses faith, they are the best fruit of the Lord's Passover represented.

The exhibition will be in the cloister of the Episcopal Palace until April 30, open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, except on days 17, 18, 21 April 22 and will remain closed.
