Traffic pacified reach almost all the village next summer (09/04/2014)

The Governing Board has given the green light to the award of the work relating to Murcia 30 Plan, amounting to Imesapi 139,937.95 euros.

This project consists of a large number of signaling streets of the town of Murcia (95.5 kilometers) with a limited maximum speed of 30 km / h, with the aim of achieving a city with fewer emissions and so parallel, to achieve increased safety of pedestrians and cyclists against abuses.

This reduction in speed does not affect generic those pathways by typology, degree and intensity of traffic are considered to maintain adequate arterial road traffic functionality.

The streets in which there will be this limitation of 30 km / h are:

- Avenue of Pines

To carry out the Plan Murcia 30 vertical signs needed to be installed, which has been rationalized in each of the streets looking to take advantage of existing signs than on the posts in place on sidewalks instead of placing all new signals.

It has also considered whether to post signs of either type depending on each particular case as it is possible to use existing signs to duplicate, install them on staffs of public lighting or place you attached to the facades where narrow sidewalks.

The expected duration of works is four months.
