A personal and emotional vision of Manuel Muñoz Barberà at the Museum of the City (08/04/2014)

This Thursday at 19 pm, continues at the Museum of the City the series 'emotional Semblanzas'.

The teacher and writer Fuensanta Muñoz Clares, daughter of the artist, and journalist and official chronicler of the city Pedro Soler provide attendees with a personal, emotional and human vision Barberà Manuel Muñoz in which stories and relive memories of the painter and writer Lorca .

Barberà Muñoz is known for his paintings of landscapes and Murcia for his contribution to religious art as their participation in the reconstruction of the church of San Antolin or painting the domes of the Basilica of the Immaculate of Yecla.

In his role as a writer and historical researcher include books like 'Letter to Aunt' or 'Quantos Know' as well as being editor in 'History of the Region of Murcia'.

Muñoz was Barberà official chronicler of Murcia and in 2003 awarded the Order of Civil Merit.

He also received, posthumously, the Gold Medal of the Region of Murcia in 2008.

This cycle, offering a personal, non-formal, through close friends and relatives about the biographies of prominent people in the arts and culture of Murcia, ending with the revision to the life of the writer Carlos Valcarcel Mayor through his granddaughter Valcárcel Charo Cruz.
