The UCAM collaborate with D'Gene Feder and projects on rare diseases (04/04/2014)

"This agreement enables the UCAM help us in our most important project: the service guidance and information to families and people living day to day of a rare disease."

So of course it was Juan Carrión, president of the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (Feder), after signing the agreement that binds to this institution and the UCAM in combating such ailments.

"We will operate in the Region of Murcia a pioneering service that will make possible a point of information to families in the place at the time when the diagnosis of a rare disease is communicated," said Juan Carrión.

With respect to projects working with the UCAM, Feder president stressed that "lines will develop awareness.'ve Had occasion to do with physiotherapy and will extend it to other branches of education."

It was the only agreement signed in this area, as the Catholic University also released the convention to be held with the Association of Rare Disorders and other Developmental Disorders Graves (D'Genes), who will develop activities and projects.

Carmen Moreno, treasurer of this institution, said, "This agreement with the UCAM gives us a much broader view and gives us hope in the face of research and awareness."

Both agreements allow students of the Catholic University of Murcia can make practices both Feder and D'Genes, and develop research projects in the field of rare diseases, supporting disclosure, conduct training activities designed to celebrate college or various symposia and specialized cycles in this area.
