The Bishop encourages young people to live with hope in a sad world (31/03/2014)

In the afternoon yesterday, the bishop met with over fifty young people in the monastery of the Incarnation of the Discalced Carmelites of Algezares (Murcia) to impart a withdrawal.

Bishop thanked Lorca Planes, first, the host of the Carmelite nuns and commitment to pray for all.

In the words addressed to young people, the bishop stressed two things: first, the importance of knowing the reality around them, to warn of the dangers that can lead to sadness, the despair, and the second to be clothed with strength to follow God's plan.

"Responding to God means leaving behind many things," said Bishop Lorca Planes, who added that what God intends is always easier than what the world offers, "but weighs more, is able to change your life."

He warned that if man is carried away by the identity of the Christian world is broken, "is inconsistent with the plan of God the world" and it also explains the Pope Francisco in the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii gaudium.

The prelate spoke of the figures of San Jose and San Pablo, the first custodian of Mary and Jesus, whose task goes almost unnoticed, and St. Paul as an example of conversion.

He also spoke of charity as remedy for sadness, to reach out, "offer others the gifts that you have."

At the end of his speech, the bishop invited young people to, with the Spirit of God, encourage and care for the spiritual to be bearers of joy, hope, kindness and charity.

Meditation After the young people had a time of personal prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and prayed together after Vespers.
