The Department of Social Welfare continues to support the most disadvantaged groups, through the work they do based associations in the town and they spend their work to children, immigrants and women in situations of exclusion.

To this end, this morning the Councillor for Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, has signed agreements with these aids that collect a total of 12 social entities, which has a total of 672,000 euros in grants to serve more 3,200 disadvantaged.

Associations have expressed their gratitude to the city of Murcia for this help which enables continue to serve thousands of needy people and stressed that, at this time of crisis, the institution has been an effort to keep these subsidies, without which they could not its humanitarian work

Cultural Education Association:

Through his infant school serves 50 children aged between 6 months and three years and a summer school for 50 children aged between one and 8 years old.

For the project "cultural promotion activities in the Los Almendros".

Activities in 40 people in workshops and tutoring, 100 children in community activities, 15 adolescents, 40 women and 70 families involved.

Housing first and second host for immigrants in exceptional situation and reception center for minors "Virgin Fuensanta".

Intended for 160 people, referring to the reception area, 250 families in primary care, 52 children 0 to 3 years, 40 children between 4 and 12 years in educational support.
