The Committee on Absenteeism detects a decrease in the number of referred cases to the City (27/03/2014)

Municipal Commission Truancy has been detected in the past five years decreased the number of cases that are referred to the municipal social services, that the decline in primary cases (523 cases seen during 2008/09 is attributed 342 in 2012/13) as secondary has remained almost constant.

While in the 2008/09 school absenteeism in primary accounted for 56.18% of all cases treated and secondary the 43.82% in the year 2012/2013 assuming the percentages are reversed cases of secondary the 53.47% and 46.53% of the primary.

This turnaround is due to truancy prevention and primary result of the entry into force of the Regional Prevention, Monitoring and Control Truancy and Dropout Reduction (RESP program).

Municipal Commission, which will be supported by a Technical Commission, exercise advisory functions, advisory, planning and coordination in the field of their competence, functional and organically depending on the Department of Education.
