The Social Centre for the Elderly Murcia II held today, March 21, World Poetry Day with a contest involving 13 users with 24 literary works, one of the many activities organized by the Centre to promote active aging and healthy.
The CEO of the Murcia Seniors Social Action Institute, Enrique Pérez, closed and awarded the prizes of this competition which, he said, "has been well received among users of the Centre.
. This event, which brought together a large number of attendees, was held outdoors under the pergola of Social Center, and was supported by the jury of young and old, thus showing, Perez said, "the importance promote intergenerational ties. "
The jury awarded the first prize to María José Hernández poetry entitled 'To my grandchildren', which deals with family ties and relationships between grandparents and grandchildren.
The second prize went to Angel Haza with 'Major, unfinished', and the third for Isabel Tortosa 'I am'.
The three winners received a book with blank pages to collect them all their literary creations.
In addition, the Social Centre for the Elderly Murcia II wanted to recognize the work, effort and involvement of all participants with a diploma with the legend 'The most beautiful poem was not made by a renowned writer, but crazy in love that is expressed without fear '.
