Growing network of primary care residents of the municipality with the opening of new health center Floridablanca (20/03/2014)

The investment exceeds 3.8 million euros, of which 2.8 correspond to the construction, funded by the Autonomous Community, and nearly 1 million solar loan from City Hall.

It is the fifth opened in the town in just over two years and in the near future will incorporate sanitary Santiago El Mayor.

The center, which is projected to serve 18,000 people, will absorb the natural growth of the population in the coming years.

Improving health care for residents of the municipality will be increased from now with the opening of the health center Floridablanca, which from next Monday will serve a population of nearly 11,000 inhabitants of Buenos Aires and part of El Carmen.

The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, this morning attended the opening ceremony along with the Minister of Health and Social Policy, María Ángeles Palacios, and Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin.

The work has required an investment of 2.8 million euros.

Including the value of the solar-ceded by the City-encryption 977,500 euros, the total investment in the construction and equipment, will be 3.8 million.

The center is located between the street and Surveyors Palms Lane and has an area of ​​1,800 m2 on three floors.

Although initially these new units will attend a population of 10,866 people, 1,484 of them under 14 years, it has been sized to absorb the natural population growth in the years to approximately 18,000 inhabitants.

The services offered by the health center Floridablanca consists of 10 family medicine clinics, 8 nurses, 3 Pediatrics, 2 nursing child, minor surgery service, consultation of women (maternal education, birth preparation and family planning ), 1 dental 1 hygienist, 1 half bath extractions / techniques, 1 multi, 1 bathroom and 1 nursing cures.

To provide these services has a staff of 23 workers.

An extensive network of 66 health facilities

Opening Floridablanca units rises to 66 health facilities existing primary care in the town, of which 24 are 42 health centers and peripheral locations.

It is also the fifth which opens within little more than two years after the Aljucer opened in San Juan, Lobosillo and Sangonera la Seca.

To these will be added in the near future the health center James.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, stressed that despite the "obvious economic difficulties," the city of Murcia and the Regional Government have continued to collaborate to bring forward investment necessary to Murcia enjoy a quality health care, close and accessible.

The City Council, meanwhile, remains committed to improving primary health care contribute to the maintenance of the network of peripheral offices of the municipality, currently composed of 42 centers.
